I have been to the Country of Georgia, specifically Tbilisi, 3 times and each time I got better and better. Being a foodie this is the top 5 places I have been that actually one could fall in love with the cuisine so much so that every time I came back stateside I found myself looking for grocery stores and shops to get authentic Georgian foods and ingredients to attempt to replicate the same at home. The country is a site seeing marvel from its vast nature areas to its ever growing and modern city upgrades to its historic beauty. Understand when I went I was with my Georgian family through marriage however everyone is family and familiar in a sense because you are treated like family. Understand being an African American male there are few places we can go in this world where you feel welcome without the underlying discriminatory tone. Georgia is love Georgia is home. If you are looking for a place where you can let your hair down, get treated to amazing food and historical and natural beauty where a complete stranger will help, translate, and treat you as a friend and they have known you for years I 1000% recommend you visiting the country of Georgia. I am well travelled and I can say with certainty that Tbilisi, Georgia is my home away from home. Sincerely C Smith

Last summer I visited Georgia for the first time. My trip was divided into 2 main segments - the one, discovering the mysteries of Tbilisi, and the other, a couple of excursions to the countryside. Tbilisi, for me was a fascinating city, large, yet compact. The hills surrounding the city create a soothing effect, making the city below a place to reach out from. And the river running through the city reveals a beautiful variety of trees and a very interesting architectural display on both banks . But the highlight of my visit was a trip to mountainous Kazbegi. Georgia has some of the most beautiful mountain ranges I have ever seen, and even though it was the height of summer the mountain peaks were covered with snow, creating a truly magical effect against the ever-changing skies. I will be remise not to mention that the food I sampled was a celebration of tastes and textures. Georgians are so proud of their traditional Cuisine, and for a good reason, the food is truly delicious! And finally, I was fortunate to see some wonderful performances of dance and be exposed to the richness of Georgian music, which I can simply say - I love!
